Jiuzhaigou Valley
Jiuzhaigou Valley, lying in Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Northwestern Sichuan Province, is 128 km away from Huanglong Scenic Spot. It gained its name because there are nine ancient Tibetan villages in the valley. Jiuzhaigou Valley is possessed with high tour and visual value, as well as scientific value, so it is hailed as “Wonderland on Earth” and “Fairy Tale World”.
Jiuzhaigou Valley is featured by a splendid landscape of natural view. The water accounts for the most beautiful scenery in the valley. The waterfalls flow down from different heights; the lakes of various sizes reflect the red leaves, green trees, snow-capped peaks and blue sky. The views vary from one place to another. Water flows around tree roots and the trees grow in water. It has been accurately observed that one never wishes to see another waterscape after seeing that of the Jiuzhaigou Valley.
Huanglong Scenic Area
Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area is located in the Songpan County, northwestern Sichuan Province, China, at the northeastern side of Xuebaoding - main peak of Minshan Mountain, and at the headstream of Minjiang River and Fujiang River. Its total area is 1,830 square kilometers, and the area of the peripheral safety belt is over 550 square kilometers. The lowest and the highest elevation are 1,700 m and 5,588 m respectively.
Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area consists of Huanglong Valley, Danyun Gorge, Muni Valley, Xuebaoding, Xueshan Ridge, Red Star Rock, Xigou, etc., and it is famous for the "Six Marvels" - colorful pools, beach flow, snow bergs, valleys, forests and ancient temples. It is a comprehensive natural landform and famous scenery, synthesizing large-scale open-air karst and calcification landscape, natural scenery in plateau and ethnic customs.
